Green Bean Christmas Trees Tutorial (Perfect for Enrichment Toppers!)

'Tis the season! If you're looking for a festive way to include your dogs in the holiday season, try making these small green bean filled frozen treats. Made to look like little Christmas Trees, they're sure to be a festive hit. We loved using these trees in our Holiday Feast Toppl Recipe.
What you’ll need:
Green Beans (steamed, raw, or canned in water).
Water and/or Bone Broth.
Raspberries (for garnish)
A tree mold (like this one!)
TIP: Steamed or canned green beans are easier to manipulate inside a mold and make the job easier.
Note: If your dog is extremely picky, try adding some shredded chicken into the mix. When shredded small enough, it can look like "snow"!
STEPS
STEP ONE: Cut green beans into smaller sizes and place the pieces inside of your tree mold. Cover with water and/or bone broth and allow to freeze completely (4 hours or so depending on mold size).
STEP TWO: Wet your raspberries with water. Using a paring knife, split apart your raspberries into little pieces.
STEP THREE: Once fully frozen, remove your green bean tree from the mold. Place little raspberries pieces as “ornaments” (they should stick in place due to the dampness of the wet fruit against the frozen tree). Place your tree back into the freezer for a few minutes, allowing the raspberry pieces to freeze firmly to your tree.
STEP FOUR: Remove and serve or place on top of your next West Paw creation.
Optional: Freeze a tiny little star for the top, out of piped Greek yogurt.

Disclaimer: As we say with any treats, the use of these fun little molds should always be supervised and modified according to your dogs needs. Remember to supervise any frozen treats, especially if your pup is known for gulping food.
